The Women of Woman-Stirred queer women's writing collective are Nicki Hastie, Merry Gangemi, Julie Enszer and me. Come join us for a delightful evening of thought-provoking poetry and prose from Great Britain, Vermont, Maryland and Oakland, California.

Julie R. Enszer, a Maryland-based writer and lesbian activist, is published in “Iris: A Journal about Women,” “Room of One's Own,” “Long Shot,” the “Jewish Women's Literary Annual,” and the “Harrington Lesbian Literary Quarterly.” Her book, “Homesteading: Essays on Life, Death, Sex, and Liberation,” is forthcoming in winter 2008. Merry Gangemi lives in Woodbury, VT, and is the host of Woman-Stirred Radio, a weekly queer cultural journal on WGDR 91.1 fm. Her work is published in the “Paterson Literary Review,” “Journal of NJ Poets,” “Harrington Lesbian Fiction Quarterly,” the “Harrington Lesbian Literary Review,” “Vermont Woman,” and the “Hardwick Gazette.” She produces the annual Tea & Poetry series, a Vermont literary festival now in its sixth year. Nicki Hastie lives in Nottingham, England. She is a founding member of the Woman-Stirred blog. Directions: Coming from the Webster St tunnel from Oakland stay on Webster, turn left on Lincoln. If you reach Grand Ave, you've gone one block too far. Coming from the south or north on 880 take the Fruitvale exit. After crossing the Fruitvale bridge you will be on Tilden way which will turn into Lincoln. Stay the course. Paru is one block beyond Grand. The center is a bright (very) Victorian on the corner.
